For watersports lovers who know that once is just not enough, our Double Dip Key West Snorkeling Adventure takes you to two premier snorkeling spots on the famous Florida Coral Reef – America’s only living coral reef system. Under the protection of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, these waters are home to a rich diversity of tropical life. You are guaranteed to be amazed by the underwater scene offered in this southern part of the Florida Keys, and with convenient morning and afternoon 3-hour trips, the Double Dip is an easy fit for a cruise ship shore activity or in any other Key West itinerary.
The adventure starts when you board the sleek 58-foot power catamaran. Relax on deck and enjoy the thrill of speed over water as your expert captain runs offshore to the best snorkeling site for the day’s weather and water conditions. Take in the offshore view of Key West and 360 scenic degrees of wide-open marine wonderland. Keep an eye out for wildlife as it is not uncommon to spot sea birds, dolphins, turtles, and schools of game fish. Your friendly crew members stand by to point out wildlife and other interesting sights, keep you refreshed with water and sodas, and answer any questions you might have about snorkeling.
When the boat pulls up to the anchorage, the crew will set everyone up with sanitized top-quality snorkeling gear including dive mask, fins, and snorkel. Beginners will be given all the instruction and assistance needed to enjoy the water with confidence. Flotation vests are available for those who desire, and a specially-designed stairway to the sea makes getting in and out of the water safe and easy. Mar 2021Yes, we allow pregnant women to go on snorkeling. However, it’s crucial to consult with your healthcare provider before doing so to assess your individual health and pregnancy stage.
Jan 2022Yes, this is possible, as long as you are comfortable going into the water. All Tours of Key West snorkeling tours adhere to strict safety regulations and have been designed to be enjoyed by all.
Your safety is our #1 priority, which is why:
- You will be wearing a flotation device at all times.
- On many tours, there is a stairway from the boat into the water so you won’t have to “jump” in!
- There are trained staff in the water and watching from the boat at all times.
For these reasons, we believe that even non-swimmers can have a wonderful time on our snorkeling trips, however, the final judgment call is yours to make. Please note we do not give refunds if you decide not to snorkel on the trip.
Oct 2021The snorkel gear we use on Tours of Key West tours is high quality and for your protection, the equipment is sanitized after each use. However, if you feel more comfortable using your own snorkeling equipment, feel free to bring it on the tour. Please note, there is no discount for providing your own equipment and we can’t be responsible for any lost or damaged items.

Oct 2021There are no legal age limits for snorkeling. We have found that age 5 or 6 is a good age to learn the basics of snorkeling, however, it’s entirely up to individuals to make the best choice for their family.
